Question: VSC Traction off and Check Engine Light Came on

I recently filled my car with a full tank of gas 1 day later the VSC Traction off and Check Engine Light Came on. Could this be releated loose gas cap. If I tighten the gas cap will warning lights go off by themselves or do I need to have them cleared.

    Once the computer runs the evap test three times and does not see a problem, the light will go out on its own.

    Do you think then that it is related to the gas cap as I took it to the dealer and they found a senser that need to be replaced and I am wondering if the problem is still related to the gas cap with computer not being reset yet or if there is a real senser problem as they say that needs to be replaced.
