AC Not Cold Due To Evaporator leak
The AC evaporator can develop a leak resulting in insufficient AC cooling. Our technicians recommend when replacing the evaporator, have a pollen filter kit installed to help with air quality in the cabin.
Engine Cranks Over and Doesn't Start
It's quite common for the the fuel pump to fail, causing a no start condition. The engine will crank over but it will not start.
To verify this the fuel pressure and electrical power to the fuel pump should be checked. If the pump is getting power and there's no pressure, replace the pump. If it isn't getting power, check the fuel pump relay circuit.
Broken upper shock mount may cause knocking from rear of vehicle
If you hear a loud knocking noise from the rear of the car while driving then there's a good chance the rear upper shock mounting plate is broken. We suggest replacing both rear upper shock plates at the same time because the other one is likely ready to fail as well.
Dash Lights May Stay on Due to Malfunction in Ignition Switch
The electronic portion of the ignition switch may malfunction, causing some dash lights to stay on. When this happens, a wiggle of the ignition key should temporarily return everything to normal.
Oil Leak From Turbo Return Pipe Seal
The turbocharger return pipe seal may develop an oil leak. The leak can begin very small, but will eventually progress into a large leak. Our technicians recommend having this repaired at first signs of leakage.

this problem is intermittent. It doesn't do it all of the time, and so far have been able to get it to start after a few tries.
When I first turn on the car, it won't go about 25 or so for a couple of minutes. After that, when I'm accelerating it stall for a second, every so often...kind of a 'sputtering'...
A hose came lose at the left bottom of the car and since then the car won't start. I traced it and it looks as though it is connected to the fuel pump. I am just not sure where the disconnecte...

I bought my 1994 850 non-turbo standard shift Volvo wagon 1n 2002 for $7000.00 with 72000 miles on it. It had 302468 miles when the odometer quit and god knows how many miles since then. Unbelievable facts:original clutch,original exhaust system,original radiator,original hoses,original water pump,just replaced heater core,1 fuel pump,1alternator 1 starter. It just keeps on giving in New Hampshire winters. Best car I've ever owned bar none. They don't make them like this any more.! Jim
Have owned it 4 years now with minor repairs needed, strut bushing, PNP switch, and ABS module. The car gets 30 MPG on the freeway, and with 161,000 miles it's gonna last me a while.
This car has 178,573 miles runs good only one problem no one seems to be able to solve.When you are driving it will shut down the dash lights up you turn on the flashers pull over to a safe place out of traffic wait about 5-min.it will restart and go you never know when this will happen so you are always on guard it might happen 2-times or go 2-or 3 weeks before it happen again its been in 3-shops without an answer i need help before someone rearend me.
This is a great car especially over 200k. Great gas milage.
I love this car just replaced some things but overall a great car and gets close to 500 miles on full tank when driving out of town. I am at 121k miles
