What Should You Do?
This should be considered a high priority recall. The side air bags may not deploy as expected. Please contact your Volvo dealer. They will check to see if your specific vehicle is affected and advise you on what to do next. Always have your vehicle identification number (VIN) handy when you call.
Due to a software error, the side curtain and side impact air bags may be slow to deploy, increasing the risk of injury to vehicle occupants in the event of a crash. Additionally, air bag warning messages may be erroneously displayed. Dealers will update the air bag (SRS) control module software to correct the concern. This recall is expected to begin by October 31, 2007. The Volvo recall number is 184.
