Summary: VOLVO IS RECALLING MODEL YEAR 2010 XC60 VEHICLES. THE FUEL LINE RAIL COVER THAT PROTECTS THE FUEL LINES UNDER THE VEHICLE MAY NOT BE PROPERLY ATTACHED EXPOSING THE FUEL LINES TO DAMAGE.
Consequence: DAMAGE TO THE FUEL LINES MAY RESULT IN A FUEL LEAK WHICH, IN THE PRESENCE OF AN IGNITION SOURCE, COULD RESULT IN A FIRE.
Remedy: DEALERS WILL INSPECT THE FUEL LINE RAIL COVER FOR PROPER ATTACHMENT AND REATTACH IF NECESSARY FREE OF CHARGE. THE SAFETY RECALL BEGAN ON DECEMBER 28, 2009. OWNERS MAY CONTACT VOLVO AT 1-800-458-1552.
