2006 Ford Taurus Q&A

2006 Ford Taurus Question: Vibration on acceleration

When taking off from stand still a loud vibration occurs and the more that I increase the speed the louder the vibration sound, no lights ever come on. After getting to the speed limit the sound is reduced but can be faintly heard. -
Answer 1
The vibration could be a worn engine mount , an exhaust component that touches the body as the engine is torqued, or if what you feel is a vibration is really a noise check that the air filter is correctly installed and the air filter housing is secured properly. -
