Question: Vehicle will not move in drive or reverse and Check Engine light is on

Yesterday I got my Trailblazer back from AAMCO after having the transmission replaced because AAMCO told me that the flywheel went out and damaged other parts of the transmission. Last night when the transmission went into reverse it sounded like I had backed into something at about 40 mph. This morning the vehicle would not move in drive or reverse and the Check Engine Light is on. What could be causing this problem?

Sounds like the rebuilt transmission has failed, call aamco and have it towed back to them as it should be under warranty

Why would the transmission cause the Check Engine Light to come on?

Everything is connected to the main computer ECM (speed sensors etc)

My 1994 saturn did the same thing and my car is at AAMCO. They told me that a pin pushed through and made a hole in the transmission and it needed to be replaced.
