This light comes on when the vehicle's dynamic control switch is off, or when the vehicle dynamic control system is not functioning properly. Follow this procedure To reset the Vehicle Dynamic Control (VDC): 1. Start the engine and set the steering wheel in the straight forward position. 2. Drive the vehicle at speeds above 10 MPH for at least 10 minutes. 3. The VDC OFF indicator should go off. If this does not work the truck should be checked by a technician.

I was just wondering when to use it... On a snowey road, in mud, or when???

The truck should be driven with the VDC system on for most driving conditions. The VDC reduces the engine output to reduce wheel spin. Turn the VDC system off to free the vehicle from mud or snow.
