I would not suggest you try this- even Honda has bulletins that state only experienced techs should perform this service.

hi again! this is rick. just wanted to touch base and let you know that i've found that info on adjusting valves. valve cleareance: intake, 4 cyclinder .... 0.009 to .011-inch, exhaust.... .011 to .013 inch. The basic procedure is simple. it can be found in ch. 1, procedure 31 of your average haynes manual. not rock science! i give repair pal suggestion tech's a big thumbs down.

No apparent leaks, no apparent smoke. Has had this for two years. 230K miles. Do I need a valve job? If so, what's a fair price? Thank you.
Had plugs/wires replaced, replaced IAC Valve with a used part. Still did not correct the problem. Driving down the street and the engine just died. Usually dies while idling at an intersection.
