has been sitting for a month or so and now wont come out of 4x4 low.any ideas?
changed timing belt on friends 2.0l 4 cyl.never drove car myself so i dont know how it was running before hand.had codes 300-301-171-1380 prior to my repair.belt was off gears and shreaded.ran good after repair for a short time but now has a bad miss at all rpm ranges.replaced plugs and tested wires - all ok (under 7 ohms)now i have the same codes up again after i reset them.any ideas?
selector hard to move up or down in cold weather.any ideas?

cruise has never worked since i got the car 4 yrs ago.fuses are ok. is a former government car and may have been shut off by a tech.any ideas as where to look?speedo works fine.no cruise light on dash.
was told the thermostat was bad. i replaced it and it still heats up. upper hose is hot while lower is cooler and engine gauge reads hot and the radiator fan will not come on even when th a/c is switched on and the heater blows cold.
is the 2.0 4 cyl. engine a non-interfearance motor?
my 4.0 aerostar has exsessive n. o. reading.i changed the mas sensor and the check engine lite is now out.what other repairs should i do before i retest it?

buy a obd2 code reader.
compression test your motor.throw out the thermostat and see where the temp.runs at that point.once you have overheated the thermostat is suspect.
bad coolant level sensor.just drive it but watch your temp.gauge
a new starter may be a good idea.gm has a problem with bad starters when the motor is hot.change it and see what happens.
these cars are famous for a coolant leak on the driver side intake manifold.
check the fuses and relays
may be a ground wire.check your battery to body wire and any fuseable link wires.
if your truck has over 100k miles it a good bet their bad.
try the pass. side kick panel.
