I own Dublin Auto Repair in Dublin, CA and Milt's Service Garage in Vallejo, CA. Both ASE Certified facilities have ASE Master Technicians that perform general repairs on all makes and models. For piece of mind you have a 12 month/12K mile warranty on all repairs we complete. We also have a racing arm known MServiceGarage. We service those individuals that track/autocross their cars. The knoowledge we've gained is yours when you commission us to build or consult on your race car. Remember that second place is the first loser...(just kidding) My philosophy is very simple: Provide our customers with the best solution to the problem presented! We diagnose the failure and determine what type of repair is needed to get that vehicle back on the road. We provide one year warranties, towing, shuttle service and no interest financing. Maintenance costs far less than a repair so we perform a free courtesy inspection on every vehicle we see so our customers can remain informed.

The time it takes a tech to hook up the machine and read those gauges is 30 minutes. We start at $99 plus the refrigerant if the system holds a vacuum for 20 more minutes. Call Dublin Auto Repair at (925)828-0243. GL

Question Answered:

That is the compressor's clutch and most likely has to be replaced. Good news is you would just need the compressor and not the entire system replaced since it is still intact. Good luck.

Question Answered:

Check fuses, all electrical connections under hood including battery. Is there fuel? Was the fuel pump making lots of noise? After the basics if you have no success you'll need to get it towed in for some diagnostics. Could be ignition, fuel or even compression causing the no start. GL

OnStar is still active. Can you pull the fuse? Check fuse block to make sure there is no corrosion before taking it to a shop for electrical diagnostics. Try Google and search solutions as well. They are a great resource. Good luck

The modules fail all the time. You need to take it in for diag anyway because of the acceleration issue. Take care of it all at once. Be honest with the advisor, it will be cheaper that way. GL
