ok i now have a code 25 after installing a brand new iac? ran for two days and to to shop.
I tooke the "dog house" and the aiar filter chamber and the car starts and idles with no problem or hesitation now UNTIL I press the gas petal but in the mean time with the trottle body exposed, and running, after about 5 scond a very loud scary hissing comes from the trottle body almost like from inside.. From the inside while in the drivers seat, on the passenger side in front of the trottle the sensor neck has splits, but on the driveers side I wiggled though harnisses and the idleing began to cause and i mad i worse by barely touching it around the fuel injector on my side. thats when the hissin start so I know I have a hose lea but still dies when I hit the petal! Just wanna buy the right sensor! idle air control??
Is It possible Ill have to change the evap canister if I found the black soot in my gas?
I changed the fuel pump and bled the fuel line til it ran from the injector lines, so I know and hear Its getting gas, but now I have a new code (46)- It ran for 5 mins andI still have the same problem, Im hoping its not the voltage regulator- I know where that is.. battery and alt tested and good and new cranksensor, I have a box small relay looking with connection that are NOT bolted back to the frame on the side of the battery like the foudation broke and dont know what thats for- had a little back box with 2 prons (prons connnect) component just not grounded - will only start with starter fluid and has a half tank of gas!It ran for 5-8 mins yesterday died, and refused to restart. battery was fine this morning didnt need a jump and after a few 5 trys jumped one time trying to start 17degrees here. Left alone so I wont have to get a nother jump in case I get time to try later. after running tryed to drive in forward and cut off before the thought completed-- thanks again- Use to start with no problem! and only had problems during driving
this is from the last post tonight. My gen light stayed on while I was checkin for the obd code to staay clear just 12 and 55 still so far. The van started up after jump but cut off 3 time while I was sitting in the van helping it to stay running while warming up, 18 degrees in detroit right now.afetr the windsheild started to defrost under my feet the idelin started to get a little ruff lik a lite rumble. Nothting major but is tha light trying to tell me something? I run quiet and just needs to warm up but I got cold wanted to make sure I have a charge tomorrow. is it normal for a van to cutoff while running at that age- I hd plaenty of cars to do that but no in a while. Hello and Im glad to be back I had a better running car since the contour, a ford windstar the shocked me buy being wonderful but I lost it in an accident:( Now I have another PROBLEM! I now hve a 1996 Dodge Ram 1500 Conversion Van and Ive canged the spark pugs and wires, the distributor, the module, button and cap, the air filter, the crankshaft sensor, had the muffler silenced and I still have my convertor, which is clean an empty, and an oil and change and OIL FLUSH (1996) Big MISTAKE! The Van was giving me a obd code 43, and I rest the computer by diconnecting the neg battery post for an hour and the code went away (I installed the crankshaft sensor with disconnected it and I heard that could cause troblee so), fuel injected,no petal pumping, I tryed to start it up and no love from Koursy, my van name. Were going through courses so. No codes since the reset and I abuot to get a jump in an hour but if it doesnt work...I need HELP!! note-Im a chick but I love to save money and I have a high success rate off of taught Diagnostics- Just still learning!! Oh yeah - afetr the oil flush my van ran like new money til I got into traffic and It stop on me! No power and the light and radio was stilll going, have to pull over like no power steering fluid, and sometimes it started right back up, oother times in the same day til I got home I'd have to wait a while. Before it stopped one of the times, It felt ie a clot was going throught the gas system and the when a big enough plugged it, it was like i felt the power stop in mid air,(was doing like 50). A qiuck shift to neutrual and a turn of the key only worked twice and the other times I had to push It and wait...Today it cranked and only stayed running with foot on gas, i stayedwith it and whe it idled on its own, it ran for 5 mins before shut off. Plenty O Gas!!
I just bought a battery. I can start it up ill run for round a min then cut off until i keep touching the gas.
i had to disconnect the battery and the drivers door is half ajar.
Ok now I went last night and diassembled the dash again and I have not come across any pinched abused or missed harnesses. could it be the order of the wires I'm puting back on the switch? Theres a spliced two headed yellow medium thick wire, two seperate orange meduim thick wire, and one black wire. on switch says aircraft and the othe illu.lghts. black, two option switch with red color code on the side of the buttons.also the fuse is still active. -sig-
Salutations finally!! I missed you guy and gals (hopeful there's gals). Well now, I finally got the steering wheel column in place and Ive been driving it swell. But now the aircraft light & switch, reading dome lights, power seat, and television dont work, also the left side of all my radio speakers dont work. Hooked up all the harness right and now blow fuses. It was working before i dissembled the dash board and now I cant tell is I missed a special harness or is it a relay or blah blah blah... Please help!!
