Ok guys, me again with the Mazda. After changing my thermostat on Thursday I have driven the car about 150 miles on both highway and street. Today, Monday, I saw coolant leaking everywhere. No overheating, hoses seemed to be dry and waterpump too. I poured more coolant in to get me home but it took it as if it was already full. My question is, is there on overflow mechanism that releases when it's too full?
Finally working on my thermostat and the easiest part should be puttiong back on the drive belt, but when i try its too long. need to know how to or what step im miising to fit it right
Can I still drive with an open thermostst and if so for how long? What are the consequnces?
I'm on a budget and have a descent understanding about engines. Was wondering where the thermostat is on my mazda and if a do it yourselfer would be able to switch it out?
I have notice for sometime now that a rattle type noise is coming from the engine area. it seems to be more persistant when the a/c is on too. Also a check engine light came on and a code of P0128 came up. Car still runs great just want to fix these problems.
