motor may have jumped time,i am a mechanic but havent seen the motor and mdont know if it has a timing chain or belt.just a quote on the full gasket set and full bearings and rings.anyone know of any special outlets or machine shop that can top an advance or auto-zone, etc.thank you
i would say you have a set of wires un-plugged or you cut a wire or a loose grnd wire.id say you pulled something loose.sounds like you about have it.dont let it get you mad.take a little break then look it back over.it sounds simple ,check plug ins on trans and anywhere near transmission.u will find it.
how do you push it in manually?if it is connected to the clutch pedal, then that would serve the same purpose as if it wasnt broken, otherwise if it is turning over if you push it in with your fingers or however then it would not or should not keep it from firing.if it was running and then the switch broke and cant be pushed in by the pedal, and then it stopped running, then their may be some kind of relation to the switch.cross the wires goin to safety switch and try but dont leave it rigged if it runs.may cause accident.you may not be able to see if the contact in the switch is touching if you dont cross the wires or make the connection for the switch.switch could be bad also,so try jumpin the wires one to the other and check it
i may be rebuilding this dodge 4 cylinder truck.what is the average price on the whole gasket set,or rebuild kit with rings and bearings.and does this engine have a timing chain or belt?sincerely Robert p.s it isnt locked up but think oil pump may have failed.havent torn it down yet,but a price quote on above items would be good.Thank you.
do you think it could just be the rear head gasket blown,no water in oil or no steaming,it runs good.it did overheat.think maybe the head gasket is blown.it is leaking right between head and block, pretty heavy while running.and are the heads aluminum thank you.im a mechanic, rareky have i seen water pour between head and block, without a crack.how much are the gasket sets for head and intake?
