after driving home for 40 miles truck was making loud ticking noise,i turned engine off and restarted it,the ticking noise wasn't as loud but was still there,,any suggestions is appreciated has always,,,,,,

AFTER CLEANING THROTTLE BODY,MY MIL LIGHT TURNED OFF,BUT,NOW I'M GETTING CODE PO507,WITH MIL LIGHT OFF,THROTTLE BODY WAS VERY DIRTY,I HAVE A OBD11 SCAN TOOL,CAN I RESET ECM TO LEARN THROTTLE,NOW THAT IT'S CLEAN,I WAS TOLD WHEN THROTTLE IS DIRTY ECM MAKES ADJUSTMENTS TO IDLE,SO NOW THAT IT'S CLEAN ECM HAS TO RESET,THAT'S MY UNDERSTANDING,NOT COMPLETELY SURE,ANY ADVISE APPRECIATED AS USUAL,THANK YOU

Just realized my oil pressure @ idle, is only 20.driving it'll go to 40., is that bad, should I worry, what is cause of it, I'm presently getting code PO137 only, it has a rough start, but after three minutes sounds good, any suggestions appreciated as always,

I HAD SIMILAR ISSUE ON MY 99 SILVERADO,4.8,V8,4X4,HAD ENOUGH FUEL PRESSURE TO START,THEN WOULD DIE,TURNED OUT AFTER CHECKING FUEL PRESSURE WITH GAUGE AT STRATTER RAIL VALVE,IT WAS ONLY 10PSI,CHANGED FUEL PUMP AND SOLVED ISSUE,

there is two plugs on right side of throttle body,where intake hose is connected,one on top is the air control,i think, the other one is two inches under it,1999 silverado 1500,4.8,V8 VORTEC,4X4
Question Answered: van died no fuel but have spark. can here fuel pump run but no fuel.

CHECK YOUR FUEL PRESSURE,ATTACH A FUEL PRESSURE GAUGE TO FUEL RAIL STRATTER VALVE,IF PRESSURE IS LOW,THEN IT COULD BE FUEL PUMP,PUMP MIGHT NOT BE SUPPLYING ENOUGH PRESSURE,I HAD SIMILAR PROBLEM AND WAS ABLE TO HERE PUMP ,BUT ONLY GOT 10PSI,TO LOW,REPLACED PUMP AND IT TOOK CARE OF PROBLEM, I GOT PRESSURE GAUGE AT HARBOUR TOOLS FOR $19.,HOPE THIS HELPS,GOOD LUCK, KEEP US POSTED

The pcv valve is located on drivers side of engine, rear top, just follow thickest rubber hose,, where it Mets on to rear of engine, pull hose up, them pull pcv, out of hose, hope this helps, on my silverado 99,1500,4.8,v8,4x4 is my location, good luck
Question Asked: Starts then dies after ten seconds

After changing starter, went to start, it started then died after ten second,, checked fuel pressure, very low@10psi only,I can hear the pump on, which I had replaced two yrs ago, any ideas as to what too check next, hope it's not the pump again,, on top of the starter there was a plug or sensor which I have no idea what it's for, maybe I pulled the wire to hard to put back, and it's not making contact,I don't know, wish I knew what it's purpose is,, please if anybody has idea let me know

The speedometer or other instrument panel gauge may begin to work erratically at times. Our technicians tell us that the instrument cluster must be sent to a repair facility to correct this fault. The warranty has been extended on some of these units to 7 years or 70,000 miles.

It is common for the fuel level sensor in the fuel tank read the fuel level incorrectly. The sensor must be replaced to correct the condition. Our technicians recommend having the complete fuel pump module replaced on high mileage vehicles.
