Question Asked:

Our passenges side window is not functioning. It will not go up. We pull it up with our hands but then it gradually slides down. Do we need to take it in or can we fix it ourselves?

Question Asked:

We've changed the headlight in the volkswagen but are having problems putting it back in. There is a gap between the car and the headlight. The lever needs about a fourth of an inch to go all the way down. We've lubricated the tracks and guides. Any suggestions? Sorry that I did not make myself more clear. We did change the headlight no problem. The problem is fitting the whole headlight assembly back into the car. We cannot get the lever that is inside the car to go all the way down and therefore the whole assembly does not fit flush into the car anymore.

Question Asked:

Can I replace the front headlight or do I have to take it to a dealership? How much does it cost? Does the low beam use a different bulb than a high beam? What size bulb is needed?

Question Asked:

In a parking lot I got to close to a curb and dented the panel under the passenger door. I was not driving fast but began to turn to early and the curb scraped the panel under the passenger door ( do not talk on cell phones while driving). How much will this repair cost? Is the dealership the best place to take it or are there other places? Will this affect the car?

Question Asked:

By mistake my keys with the remote to my Expedition were left in my jacket pocket and I washed them and dried them in the dryer. My husband heard a loud clatter in the dryer and found the keys and remote. Now my remote does not work properly. It does unlock the car but that is about it. What should I do?

Question Asked:

I have a 2003 turbo beetle. I use my remote for the doors. Yesterday morning the passenger door would not unlock with the remote. In the afternoon neither the passenger door nor the driver door would open, I was in a hurry to go to the doctor The hatch did open so I lifted my 4 year old niece through the hatch to open the door. Is this a problem with the remote's battery, remote, or something else? Less then a month ago my car turned off immediately after I turned it on car. The solution to that the dealership said was to reboot the computer.

Question Answered:

This happened to me yesterday (2003 turbo vw beetle), the car would start and then immediately turn off. Last fall I had the battery replaced so I knew it could not be the battery. I had it towed to a vw dealership and they said that the computer locked out and so they had to reboot the computer. I asked them what caused this but they said they did not know. Cost $105 for this repair.
