Question Answered:

I had a similar problem with my 1997 Tracer. The engine would run rough at idle and sometimes die when I'd come to a stop sign or light and in order to keep it from dying I had to keep my foot on the gas pedal and one on the brake and give it a little gas while I was waiting for the light to change. At first I thought it may be the fuel filter. I looked around under the hood and noticed the rubber hose going to the PCV valve had a hole in it. It just worn itself out. After replacing that little bit of hose and just for the heck of it replacing the valve too it now runs smooth and doesn't crap out like it had been doing.
