You lost the vacume to the controle unit. It a black or grey vacume line going from the firewall to the intake manifold is where they break most of the time. Check that first.

Sounds like you have a pully out of alignment. Puts belt at a angle. Or poss. (but not often) tensioner keeping belt to tight.

Move the air from hot to cold see if it makes the noise. Might be the plastic gears of the blend door motor. I Hope not because that takes a good bit of labor to do that job.

There are deff. some fuses Ck under dash and fuse box under hood. Just ck all of them if you do not have the owners manual. You can also google fuse locations

Depending on engine, most fords have Idle Air Controle valves. They go bad all the time. Take something and tap on it while the truck is at idle, then try to put it into gear. You can also pull it off and clean it out with carb. cleaner but that is not a final fix.

Yes, the DPFE sen. or the EGR ports under the intake are also known for getting stopped up.

plastic gear wears out,"blend door actuator" needs to be replaced or the blendoor is broke
