I had the same problem last year. You need to replace the Fuel Guage Sensor. Minor part, near fuel pump.
Had the radiator flushed last august, but a/c still worked fine. All of a sudden now that it is hot, the a/c will not cool the drivers side. Anything I can do without bringing it in to the dealer.
I occasionally find water inside when I remove the panel to change the brake lights (driver side only). Can't figure out how it got in, and this last time I replaced the bulbs, they were out again within a couple weeks. What could I use to seal, and where? everything seems tight when I bolt everything back up.
When I am slowing down/braking as I go over a bumpy area, the brakes do not "catch" - otherwise they work fine. Does something need to be fine-tuned?
I noticed the water only comes out when the car is in forward motion and the A/C is on. I felt under the glove box where it seemed to be coming from and there is an opening, and in the opening seems to be some kind of spongy foam material that is soaked. Could it be because of the extreme humidity/dew point that we have experienced this summer? Or is something really wrong?
Yup. Its the bulb. Check your owner's manual for exact location and bulbsizes. For my 2000 LeSabre I have to remove 7 nuts which removes the entire back panel - from inside the trunk. Not easy since you are looking up in the air with your head upside down and sideways. And you will need an extended length socket because it is up and in there. My local Ace Hardware guy tried different sockets until he found the one that would fit. My advice - buy extra bulbs - if the panel leaks any water or condensation, you will do this several times a year.
Sensor replaced in 2008. Mostly city miles since 2007. Ran out of gas a year ago - fuel gage was acting weird. No pattern to when it stalls. Usually starts right up again. Til last weekend. Had to sit abt 5 min till it started on 4th try. Then last night drove abt 6 miles on freeway. Car turned off while I picked up friend from work. 5 minutes later car would not start. Was parked on slight incline (parking lot at McDs) so coasted back. Started after 5-6 tries and 10 minutes of cursing & praying. Help!! No diagnostic codes showed when tested w handheld code reader.
