Question Asked:

When I first start my car, the oil light flickers on and off. It dies this for about 30 seconds and then it stops. It does not come on while driving. It started about 3 weeks ago when I had to change my distributor. I was also leaking oil out of my valve cover gasket. The plug inlets were full of oil. I changed the spark plugs but not the wires. The mechanic said they looked good still. Changed valve cover gasket but still leaked in one inlet. Used packing sealant and it fixed the leak. I also changed the oil pressure switch also. Could there still be oil in the plug inlet? Also didnt change the wires and Im using NGK V power plugs instead of Platinum plugs. Also I constantly check the oil and oil level is fine and looks clear not dark. Could any of these things cause the oil light to flicker or would it be something more serious?
