Your cigarette lighter fuse is by your left foot (Drivers Side) and also under your hood on the left hand side just beyond the battery.

Its more than likely to be your relay which is in your fuse box under the hood and or under your dash by your left foot (Drivers side )----had same issue and was a combo of 1 tailight and relay!!!!

I would have your voltage regulator checked out and make sure your wiring is grounded as well as your fuses.Check not only under dash but under your hood for both sets.I had same issue with mine about 4 years ago and my problem was as simple as a true ground to the body!!!!!!

check and replace o2 sensor and give fresh plugs with tune-up. It wouldnt hurt to install a locking gas cap and change out the fuel filter its more than likely clogged.You have a 22 gallon tank for fuel, I have the same year trooper and at best it gets around 12-15 miles to the gallon.Look for leaks or smells of fuel after filling up and if you have any new drivers in your family , I suggest putting those keys away b4 going on to bed for the night!!!!! LoL!!!!

I was driving @ 50 mph when truck locked up.I had to put into 4Wlow to move off of road. Since this occured I have replaced rear differential but problem still remains!! I seem to get 4WhLow and 4WhHigh and 2WhHigh are still locked up. All is smooth in 4WhLow. How do I get other gears back to normal---is it transfer case? Need Help very badly with this !!!!! Thank You in advance!!!
