Coolant leaks aruond radiator cap,tempature gauge stays at normal but coolant starts squirting out around cap instead of going into recovery tank.I have tried relacing the cap a couple of times but it doesnt help.Also it just does this during city driving but not on the highway.does anyone have a suggestion?
I have a 1999 dodge grand caravan,3.3 liter, and so does a buddy of mine. both of them loose alot of coolant in city driving conditions,on the highway they dont seem loose any,it seems to be coming from around the radiator cap that is the only place i find evidence of water leakage,so i replaced the radiator cap and it improved but it still does it,i thought maybe the overflow tank line may be plugged but its clear,I cant find leaking anywhere else.ALSO IT IS NOT OVERHEATING OR HAVING A TEMPATURE RISE AT ALL even driving up a mountian Does anyone know of this problem
I m trying to find out were you can get test strips to check for a bad head gasket. they are suppose to tell you if there is exhaust emissions in the cooling system i have also seen some kind of tester that you draw fluid from the radiator to check for that.I dont know what there called or where to get them. Thanks for any help
My jeep has a problem with dying all of a sudden and it wont restart.It will sometimes run for a few days and then it does it again, I have replaced the crankshaft sensor but it still does the same thing.Dealer told me it might be the computer or wiring but they couldnt be sure.I get code 1694 ,Is there any way to tell wich one.Maybe there is a certian part of the wiring harness that has problems?
I have codes p1164 and p1259 ,the motor has misfires on cylinders 1 and 4,i have chaanged the plugs, wires,and distributor cap and rotor,I also swaped the injectors around and the same cylinders have misfires,I checked the compression and all four cylinders are good.Does anyone know what could cause this?
my steering wheel is hard to turn,the pump was whining so i replaced it. but the steering wheel is still stiff, could the rack and pinion cause this?
I have heard there are specail procedures in changing the sparkplugs on this 4.6 liter motor trying to find out what they are.I heard you could possibily damage the heads

Looking for someone who has experience with the 4.0 SOHC VIN E motor,My timing chian is rattling,Ihave heard that is common for these to get worn cassetes guides and tensioners,but you have to remove the oil pan and heads to do this job and the kit is 500.00 dollars,Im trying to find out if there is a way to replace just the tensioners and cassete guides without removing the heads and oil pan,wich involves removing the motor.
I have a brown residue in my over flow tank and also in the top of my radiator,is possibly a blown headgasket?
