Question Answered: Can OBD II Code P0128 affect my AC?
August 03, 2010, 07:39 PM
p0128-coolant temp insufficient for closed loop operation.you need a thermostat for this concern. I just repaired 3 fusions in a row for this and my a/c tech repairs/replaces the evaporator temp sensor, which requires the dash to be removed for this. not for sure your car will need this for the a/c concern, just see it a lot!
Question Answered: why does battery light come on after car is started?
August 03, 2010, 07:33 PM
I have had a lot of problems with aftermarket alternators on these vehicles, especially from a part store that has zone in it's name. I am not a betting man but I think you need a ford rebuilt alt. also check the wireson the connector that goes on the alt. give them a tug to make sure they are not broken,or not pulling out of the connector.

Question Answered: starts fine has no power
August 03, 2010, 07:24 PM
are there any trouble codes? is it misfiring on accell? if so coils are most likely the cause. also check the mass air flow sensor for contamination and make sure the intake hose clamps are secure.you may need to go to a ford dealer to pinpoint which coil is bad if it is an ignition miss because of their capability to do a power balance test.

you will have to buy or find a new connector pigtail and splice it into the factory harness.go to your ford dealer, they will have a book with pictures of various connectors with part numbers.or go to your local pick and pull and try to find one.
Question Answered: why is my ford windstar failing to hold charge
August 03, 2010, 07:17 PM
has the charging system been tested? also check the brake pressure switch, this has voltage going to it at all times and is known to leak fluid into the switch and cause a short or fire!

under the drivers side by the park brake, fuse may be blowing due to the vanity lights in the visors.there is a wire that runs in the visors that will chafe over time from flipping them up and down.

Problem Reported: Fuel filling issues due to manufacturing defect in fuel tank
December 07, 2013, 10:51 PM

According to TSB 05-15-12

Some 2005 Mustang vehicles built before 4/26/2005, may exhibit the fuel tank being slow or difficult to fill. The condition may be described as, repeated rapid shut-offs of the filling station pump nozzle, or multiple nozzle shut-offs when attempting to fill the fuel tank. The condition may be due to the tank vapor venting system inside the fuel tank.

Some pump nozzle shut-offs may be due to the filling station pump delivering the fuel too quickly. This is normal.

A new fuel tank with a revised design is available.

only a couple of issues,1. coolant pump failure. 2. auxiliary blend door actuator failure. both issues will cause vehicle to enter failure management mode, wrench light on,vehicle will barely move.other than these concerns, the only thing I do on these vehicles is scheduled maintenance.
