you will need to have the pcm scanned for dtcs.I do a lot of throttle bodies for this exact concern.
I remove the wiper arms and cowl assy.makes for a lot more room to remove from the top!
p0128-coolant temp insufficient for closed loop operation.you need a thermostat for this concern. I just repaired 3 fusions in a row for this and my a/c tech repairs/replaces the evaporator temp sensor, which requires the dash to be removed for this. not for sure your car will need this for the a/c concern, just see it a lot!
I have had a lot of problems with aftermarket alternators on these vehicles, especially from a part store that has zone in it's name. I am not a betting man but I think you need a ford rebuilt alt. also check the wireson the connector that goes on the alt. give them a tug to make sure they are not broken,or not pulling out of the connector.
check the pcv tube for vacuum leaks.
are there any trouble codes? is it misfiring on accell? if so coils are most likely the cause. also check the mass air flow sensor for contamination and make sure the intake hose clamps are secure.you may need to go to a ford dealer to pinpoint which coil is bad if it is an ignition miss because of their capability to do a power balance test.
you will have to buy or find a new connector pigtail and splice it into the factory harness.go to your ford dealer, they will have a book with pictures of various connectors with part numbers.or go to your local pick and pull and try to find one.
has the charging system been tested? also check the brake pressure switch, this has voltage going to it at all times and is known to leak fluid into the switch and cause a short or fire!
there are some companies that can repair your cluster, but you will have to send it off.most of the time we just replace the whole cluster assy. somewhere around 500.00 for the part.
under the drivers side by the park brake, fuse may be blowing due to the vanity lights in the visors.there is a wire that runs in the visors that will chafe over time from flipping them up and down.
