It's not that tough once you get the radiator and shroud out of the way. Autozone and advance auto both rented me the wrong tool to remove the fan clutch. It was the only one they carried. Oreily's had a universal set that worked fine. $80 but of course you get that back when you return it. and the bolts aren't too bad either
My 2000 exp. had the same problem. The idle pulley was worn and rattling at low rpms. Stopped when in park or neutral or hiwhay speed.
will drive in 1st and 2nd. if I manualy shift at 40 to 50 od will work. reverse and third will not
