I screwed up and drove on the interstate at 70 MPH on dry pavement for several miles while in 4 wheel drive without realizing it. I knew my truck was making a strange noise but didn't click that it was in 4x4. After about 10 miles the noise stopped. now when I select 4HI the selector lights up as if it's engaged but it doesn't lock in or even try. Is there by chance a safety feature built into the transfer case, like a fuse or an easy reset or have I ruined my 4x4 capabilities? I hate to think that I have to take the truck in to get the transfer case repaired. Please help!!!
