Question Asked: Bearings and O2 Sensor
March 24, 2009, 12:27 PM
I just purchased a 98 stratus with 106xxx miles on it. The check engine light comes on and it throws an oxygen sensor code. I was wondering how you replace it/where is it located?
Also the car seems to make a humming noise at 35+mph, noise stops when I turn corners or curves in the road. Could this be the bearings or just tire noise?
Question Asked: Hydraulic clutch fluid keeps leaking!

I replaced the master cylinder, flywheel, new clutch and new hydraulic lines. I have the slave cylinder on order. I keep fixing the supposed problems and it works fine for a day. The next day I come out and the fluid is all on the ground on the passenger side. What else could this be???
Question Asked: 1995 Cirrus wont start
February 15, 2009, 07:06 PM
The is a 2.5 liter v6. One day went to go out and start the car and it just cranks over but no start. It was like this for over a month and one day it just starts! I took it to a buddy and we put plugs, wires and new distributor cap and rotor. It ran fine and we thought we had it fixed. We went to start it up today and it wont start again. My buddy tied to read the check engine code and it just read error. Not sure if that means the computer is broke or not.

is it auto or stick? Could be a failing fuel pump, dirty fuel injectors, bad fuel filter.
Question Asked: 88 crx dx engine swap gone bad!
February 08, 2009, 09:05 PM
I have an 88 CRX Dx that had we had finally worn the original motor out. A buddy put a 1990 civic dx motor with 70,000 miles on it into my car. I changed everything major but the computer and wireing harness.
The car starts and runs but if I hammer down on the gas it will stutter and backfire, then stall out unless I push the clutch in before it dies. they thought the timeing was off so we fixed that issue but it still backfires and dies if you push gas to hard or drive up an incline....even tring to get it up on a car hauler it dies!
Im confused and desperate for advise...she was my first car and had her for over 5 years. I want my baby back! Any help is much appreciated.
Question Answered: Issues with gears shifting hard into second and third
February 06, 2009, 03:12 PM
My mother has a 2004 accord ex and it did the same thing. They did not believe her until it was soo bad that the trani did that the whole time. They ended up rebuilding her trani. I would take it to another Honda dealership. Good luck
Question Answered: Clutch Problem
February 06, 2009, 03:07 PM
I had that problem with my 90 accord. Check the Master cylinder if you have a hydraulic clutch.
I replaced the clutch, throw out bearing, flywheel, you name it! but the clutch kept slipping after 15 minutes of driveing. I took it to a buddy and he changed the master cylinder and all is well now. Good luck
Question Asked: Oil leak
February 06, 2009, 02:58 PM
I have a 90 Accord LX 5 speed, 2.2 motor. It has 300,xxxmiles and recently it started spraying oil up onto my hood while driveing. It is in the general area of the distributer and this site mentions that it could leak oil. I tried to locate the exact area of the leak/spray while it was running in neutral but it does not spray unless it is under a load. ie: driving up hill. I am worried and need a direction. Could it be a leaky distributer seal, camshaft seal or neither?
Car Review: 1998 Dodge Stratus

I bought this car from a friend and it was great for the first month. it had 105,xxx miles when i purchased and within a month the fule pump went out and left me stranded. Then a few months later I had to replace all the bearings and tie rod ends. A week after that the piston rod started knocking and then a massive transmission leak! It always shifted bad and felt like it was always in second gear. Horrible turning radius for a small car and very little power. The body is completely shot due to rust and the suspention is rough. These cars are money pits and I have always kept up on regular oil changes/tune ups. They are known to throw a rod or the trani's go before they hit 150,000. I guess Im just used to my hondas, but this car is a nightmare!

I LOVED MY 323. it was my first car.i beat the crap out of it. it jumped tracks, ditches, and fields. ran 115 mph with more to go but it got scary. the rear strut towers rotted out and the struts pushed through. so watch out for that.

I hate that you cannot select any options on the heater/ac. I like warm feet!
Car Review: 1990 Honda Accord

Awesome car! Smooth ride and excellent acceleration. Mine has 300,000 miles and still runs like a champ. Easy to fix and easy on the wallet. Parts are cheap and generally in stock. I dislike the power seat belts, their motor burnt out a while ago and the interior does not hold up to wear and tear well. But they are very dependable cars! I have seen alot of complaints about break vibration....turn your rotors or get new, it helps! Also I have seen complaints on the paint/lemons/major issues on used hondas......get the car fax reports on ANY used car! Most used cars have not been kept up on maintenance...this will GREATLY increase your issues and as well with cars being repainted after an accident.
