I am reading where the transmission in these have a high failure rate. I just bought this car with 91k other than a little quick shifting around 37 mile an hour I haven't had any problems. I had a flush done on the transmission just to be safe at Volvo. They installed the 150.00 oil so do I need to get rid of this car or is the 25 whinners on the internet the only ones who have had this problem?
I bought this car with 113k had it serviced a Volvo then. Took it in at 117k and now I need a charcoal canister $500.00 a motor mount $285.00 a two sway bar bushing at $185.00 all of this went wrong in 5000 mile. and the A/c needs $385.00. I can understand the a/c. Why didn't they see the motor mount and sway bars last time or are the scaming me.
When you do a service yourself is there a service indicator light that needs to be reset.
Where the temp display shows I have gotten a DISC desplay on the dash what does this mean?
I have completed my service, but the service light comes on. How do I reset it.
I was adding freon to my car because it wasn't blowing cold. I was using one of these do it your self cans with a gauge attatched. I took it up to what I thought was the correct level. Disconnected lines and closed the hood and suddenly I saw a blast of freon shot out from under the hood. What did I do blow a line. Not blowing cool no more. One hose looks grey at the end.
I bought this car used, the radio says deck is empty. but i can't find it.
With A/C on in gear idle go up and down about 200 to 300 rpm is this normal or do I need to get this checked out?
It doesn't leak so bad that it puts any oil on the ground has anyone had one of these repaired, or should I just let it go. 116300 miles......hoping for 200,000 it is leaking around the seal on the turbo volvo said
I had the same problem I ended up buying one off ebay. you can also get them from a salvage yard. i think i got mine for 10 bucks on ebay.
