we do a lot of tire swaps here at dealership. may have a bit harsher ride as sidewall will be shorter. also will have to have pcm recalibrated for larger wheels to correct speedometer.
assume you have checked fluid level. if full, could be master or slave cylinder on transmission bypassing.
there is a kit if the camber needs to be changed.
output shaft speed sensor is located inside the transmission. have to pull front pan and valve body. takes about 4 hours.
the problem is the shift lever. it has the wires running through it for the overdrive switch. they chaffe at the tube where they come out. replace shift lever and fuse. should take care of it.
main computer connector is located below the master cylinder. computer is located beside the park brake.
what code is setting? have replaced a lot of accel pedal assemblies for same concern, but have seen wiring harness rub above shift lever at bottom of steering column also.
if you don't have a lot of experience, don't attempt. injectors are under valve cover. after replacement, glow plug is pulled and cylinder is cleared. if not, engine will hydrolock as diesel and coolant will drain into cylinder as soon as injector is pulled out.
not familiar with emission there. you say he cleared the computer. find out if he reset the keep alive memory. that resets the computer on the fuel learn table. the vehicle is then driven and relearns the way it is driven to set the fuel trims.
