It depends if it is a 4speed or a 5speed on how many it has. But they both have a few & they are part of the valve body.

You may have an issue with the transmission temp. sensor. Or you may actually be over heating the transmission. If it only comes on during hard driving ie. Towing heavy hauling
If you have not had any trouble with the transmission.Then it should not cause you any harm,as long as the correct dexron VI fluid is used.
