I own a 99 Dodge Avenger V6; My PROBLEM…THE IGNITION SWITCH 30A FUSE KEEPS BLOWING! I’ve bought about 20 fuses in the last four days…. and this does not include the ones people have bought for me. I have had the starter check, its good; so is the alternator. My battery is brand new not even three months old. My brother the Mechanic look up under the car check the wires there and there was nothing grounding out below! I had an aftermarket radio in it which was work find when I first put the radio in the car. I have never had issues nor are there any issues with the radio during that time and it has been in the last three cars I’ve had without any problems! I removed the radio; disconnect all the wires and electrical taped them off yet the fuse keeps blowing… Even down the factory Amp in the trunk as be disconnected and by passed… This started this past Tuesday morning after I replace the belt on the car Monday afternoon. I do have some experience with working on this car. I have replaced the whole back end and the front passenger side when I wrecked the car. All the work done has been my hand with the watch full eye of my older brother who is a mechanic himself in his shop. I believe the ignition switch is going out or that because the only key to the car is bent that this may be the problem. Help me… If anyone know the wiring lay out for the radio and the factory AMP for this car please let me know….. IDK what to do I and don’t have 100 to pay someone to do electrical work on the car if the problem is just something simple or less than 40 bucks! I’m a single mother… this car is all I have to go to school, work and to take care of my daughter with! I don’t wanna give the car up.. I paid 1700, with for it the motor and tranz is new in it and it has a Cold air intake on it…. This is my baby… I put my blood sweat and tears into this car LITERTLY even trans flood in my hair fixing the dang axel & We all know how women especially black women are about their hair but for my car I DON’T CARE! HELP A SISTER OUT! PLEASE!
