I can start my car and back it out of garage, but notice a clicking sound to the motor when it's running. When I step on the gas pedal, there is no reving sound. I can smell either gas or rubber or something as well. what could be wrong. I am afraid to drive it.
I noticed it going one way and not on the way back or when I went out again. When I went to the same place a few hours later, heard it again. No flat tires noted, nothing hanging. Had the bearings fixed a few months ago. What could it be? Alignment was just done. I can't see anything wrong and the car seems to drive ok.
the engine light comes on, but the car feels fine. I've radjusted the gas cap. It turns off after a couple of days. My headlight leveling light has come off and on as well. I took it to my mechanic but they can't check it unless the light is on. He says it's nothing if the light goes off and only to worry if it flashes?? Not sure what is happening here.
I recently had my car in for spark plug changes (first time) the brakes done and ball joints replaced. All regular repairs that have never been done. The car's been running great. tonight the check engine light suddenly came one. 2 weeks ago the headlight balance light came on but is off now. what gives? how worried should I be? I don't feel anything wrong
My car was making a creaking noise when driving over bumps or when I turned the wheel to the left. Drove OK. Put some WD40 around steering column and it helped with the noise. Took it in and mechanic said ball joints were ready to pop and I couldn't drive the car. He is asking $435 to replace 2 ball joints and do the allignment. Is that a fair price?
