Question Answered:

90 Westie You can very well have a bad master cylinder, however a complete brake inspection including inspection of front and rear brakes, parking brake system and hydraulic system. Obviously brakes are a safety item and a complete inspection makes sense. Dan Decaro Carsmart Auto Service

Question Answered:

Thanks for sharing your concern, I am sure it is very frustrating. This sounds like an idle circuit issue. I would first look at the air intake boot and make sure is properly secured and has no cracks or splits. The idle control solenoid is a some what common failure and does stick at times. I believe it is located on the air intake near the boot, try tapping on before replacing for a temporary test. Hope this helps Dan
