just to cover the overall issues sounds like your on board computer got a massive hit from pothole and the diagnostics computer might be reading false truths, wires might of got disconnected in the process. I had something similar once and it was time for me to get new connections on the wires cause every bump wire lost connection i got check engine and service engine lights.
Question Answered: why do I hear a chirp or sweek when I depress the brake peddle

well typically that leads to your brake pads are down to the metal plate or near it, and/or it needs a check something could of put it out of alignment. it depends were are you hearing it from front or back? left or right?

Car Review: 2001 Chevrolet Blazer

I had this since it came out never had a problem, kept up with preventative maintenance, got all the options for the LT and recently added some new upgrades like a camera system, new radio with ipod integration. Ever since I bought it, never had to replace transmission, engine or any other major part. I'm proud to say that I even was able to tow a load larger than what it was capable of. As far as the 4WD it is still awesome, but with the gas going the way it is I'm working on making a hydrogen hybrid out of my gem.
