Cat falure is common but using a scanner other than VW OEM or VAG COM, you may only have part of the story and there may be other codes present that also cause the cat code. Also, most aftermarket cats do not last so before you spend the ~ $1000. on an OE cat, have the car properly scanned. Also, many VW have an extended warranty on the can check at but better to call their recall hotline as not all show on line

May be a bad vacuum leak or check valve in brake booster or other vacuum line, Also, basic settings may not have been reset if battery went dead

You need a VW computer or VAG-COM to watch temp when oil runs out and a bladder to refill, best left to a VW specialty shop

Extremely common! Rear windshield seal typically leaks and must be fixed first or new module will fail shortly

When you cycle the key, you will typically hear the in tank or next to tank fuel pump cycle. If you don't hear it, you can try tapping the tank and pump may start working but days are numbered if this is the case

Cooler is replaceable and afterward, cooling system will need repeated flushing to remove as much oil as possible. The thick oil can impede cooling
