Question Asked:

During my last oil change, the mechanic pointed out some leakage around the passenger side axle and the front seal on the dufferentialon my 1999 Jag XK8 convertble. I asked if they could check the fluid level. They said they could not remove the fill plug on top of the differential because the rear sway bar was directly above it. They said the sway bar would have to be removed to access the fill plug requiring quite a bit of dis-asembly. Is this correct? Is there anyway to remove the plug to check/add fluid without taking off half of the rear end components? Thanks.
