There are 2 separate fuse boxes - one on the front fender - usually on the driver's side and the second is in the trunk on the wall opposite the radio antennae side.

IF YOU'RE REALLY SMART - "DON'T" YOU NEED HIGH SPEED AIR TOOLS AND HEAVY WRENCHES TO COMPRESS SPRINGS ETC..... YOU COULD LOSE A FINGER OR AN EYE IN A HEARTBEAT IF SOMETHING SLIPS JUST A HAIR. SOMETHINGS IN LIFE JUST NEED TO BE DONE BY A 'PRO' AND EVEN THEY GET HURT SOMETIMES. ALIGNING THE WHOLE DEAL IS A PART OF THE INSTALLATION - SCREW THAT UP & YOU COULD SNAP A TIE ROD ETC.. & GO OFF THE ROAD . TAKE A COURSE AT THE LOCAL B.OC.E.S. BEFORE TACKLING SHOCKS & STRUTS

VERY EASY - ONCE YOU KNOW THE TRICK ! ! ! THERE'S A BUTTON ON THE PANEL THAT SHOWS YOU 'MONITORED SYSTEMS' OR SOMETHING TO THAT EFFECT - WHEN YOU CYCLE TO OIL LIFE - HOLD THE BUTTON IN FOR LIKE 30 SECONDS & THE COMPUTER WILL RESET THE VALUE BACK TO 100% - YOU DON' T HAVE TO CHANGE OIL EVERYTIME THAT IT HITS "0" - I RESET MINE BACK TO 100% THEN CHANGE WHEN IT GOES DOWN TO 50% THE BEST TRICK IS TO USE BETTER OILS & THROW IN A QT. OF EXPENSIVE ($13 TO $16) DURA-LUBE OR SLICK 50 ONCE A YEAR. THE COSTS WILL PAY FOR THEMSELVES SEVERAL TIMES OVER - SAVE ON GAS USAGE PLUS CUT DOWN WEAR & TEAR ON THE ENGINE PARTS. YOU COULD GET SEVERAL HUNDRED THOUSAND MILES ON AN ENGINE IF YOU JUST TREAT IT LIKE IT WAS YOUR HEART ! ! NO DONUTS THOUGH ! !

YOU WOULD BE WISE TO DO THE WHOLE DEAL - CAP - ROTOR-PLUGS- DISTRIBUTOR TRANSFORMER (which starts to lose it's voltage output after 50,000 miles) SPARK PLUGS AND PLUG WIRES (the good ones ! ) THE PARTS WILL RUN AS HIGH AS $150 -LABOR COULD BE $200 USE CASTROL HIGH MILEAGE OIL & A QUART OF 'DuraLube" or Slick50 A CARED FOR CADDY CAN GO 250,000 MILES AND MORE - I'M DOING IT ! !

Oh, Yea !! You have to take the whole fan out of the firewall - the little circuit is built right inside the blower cage. Before you go too crazy - as I did ! ! Twist and/or wiggle the cable from the main harness to the fan & tape it up in place to eliminate an 'Intermittant' connection. ALSO - The engine has to be running - not just have the key in the "ON" position before the circuit feeds juice to the fan ! ! ! If you remember - you can't get the heater or A/C to run in the car if you just leave the key in the "ON" position - but don't have the engine running ! ! !

WHEN YOU GET A SHIMMY AT A SPECIFIC SPEED THAT IS A DEFINITE INDICATION OF A FRONT END PARTS DEFECT - LIKE A TIE ROD END - INNER OR OUTER - OR A CENTERLINK. YOU COULD ALSO CHECK FOR CRACKS OR LOOSE BOLTS ON THE REAR WHEEL SUSPENSION PARTS AS WELL. HAVE YOU TRIED ROTATING FRONT TIRES TO REAR & REAR TO THE FRONT ?

GM HAD A WHOLE BUNCH OF MODELS THAT HAD FAULTY TRANSMISSION CONTROL MODULES (with recalls on file) MY '94 WAS DROPPING INTO NEUTRAL AT HIGH SPEEDS FOR A MINUTE OR TWO. ALSO TRY FLUSHING OUT THE 'ENTIRE' TRANNY -* INCLUDING CONVERTER* FOR LIKE $100. THAT WOULD HAVE SAVED ME $1,100 FOR FINALLY BLOWING A SECOND TRANNY THAT SOMEONE POURED BRAKE FLUID INTO ! ! ! .

THE FANS AREN'T DESIGNED TO ALWAYS TURN. THEY'RE HOOKED UP TO HEAT SENSORS ON THE BLOCK. YOU CAN FORCE THEM TO KICK IN BY TURNING ON THE A/C & SETTING TO HIGH. WATCH FINGERS & TOOLS - THEY CAN COME ON VERY QUICKLY & UNEXPECTEDLY

HAVE YOU ELIMINATED A POSSIBLE CRACK IN BOTTON OR LOWER SIDE OF THE OVERFLOW CONTAINER YET ? ? I'VE HAD ONE THERE BEFORE - IT'S USUALLY VERY HARD TO SPOT. IT'S HELD IN PLACE WITH JUST 1 OR 2 SMALL BOLTS IF YOU WANT TO TAKE A LOOK AT IT. JUST FOUND A CADDY MIRROR (GLASS ONLY) FROM "RockAuto.com" DIRT CHEAP & FAST. SEE WHAT THEY HAVE FOR YOU.

1994 Caddy DeVille Replace side view mirror glass only. Electric/Light Sensitive. Does it just snap out or is there a special technique or tool ? Thanks for any tips. Tom
