My 1998 ram 2500 5.9l gas 4x4 did this also, suddenly dieing but would start after cooling off. it was the cam position sensor in what used to be the distributor. you can check them with a multimeter.
THE TRUCK JUST DIES WHEN AT OR ABOVE 210 DEGREES. CODES ARE FOR CRANK/CAM SENSOR IGNITION OR POSSIBLY TIMING CHAIN.IF I REPLACE SENSOR WILL THE NEW ONE DEVELOPE THE SAME THERMAL FAULT? DOES IT NEED SOME KIND OF HEAT SHIELD OR INSULATION?
