Operating information and commands are exchanged among the modules. The modules have prerecorded information about what messages are needed to be exchanged on the serial data circuits, for each virtual network. The messages are supervised and also, some periodic messages are used by the receiver module as an availability indication of the transmitter module. The supervision time-out period is 250 ms. Each message contains the identification number of the transmitter module. DTC Descriptors This diagnostic procedure supports the following DTCs: DTC U0100 Lost Communication With Engine Control Module (ECM) DTC U0101 Lost Communication With Transmission Control Module (TCM) DTC U0104 Lost Communication With Distance Sensing and Cruise Control (DSCC) Module DTC U0121 Lost Communication With Electronic Brake Control Module (EBCM) DTC U0141 Lost Communication With Instrument Panel Module (IPM) DTC U0181 Lost Communication With Dynamic Headlamp Leveling (DHL) Control Module This vehicle has DTCs which include DTC Symptoms. i found this.... Anti-theft audio system General information Some models are equipped with an audio system having an anti-theft feature that will render the stereo inoperative if stolen. If the power source to the stereo is cut, the stereo won’t work even if the power source is immediately re-connected. If your vehicle is equipped with this anti-theft system, do not disconnect the battery or remove the stereo unless you have the individual code number for the stereo. The word “CODE” should appear on the display. 2 Using the station preset selector buttons, enter the five-digit code. If you make a mistake when entering the code, continue the five-digit sequence anyway. If you hear a “beep,” however, stop immediately and start the sequence over again. Note: You have three attempts to enter the correct code. If the correct code isn’t entered in three tries, you’ll have to wait one hour, with the radio on, before you enter the codes again. 5 Once the code has been entered correctly, the word “CODE” should disappear from the display, and the radio should play (you’ll have to tune-in and enter your preset stations, however). 6 If you have lost your code number, contact a BMW dealer service department.

The EGR valve is located at the right rear corner of the intake manifold, near the firewall. before unbolting the EGR valve, disconnect the vacuum line. but maybe the valve have too much carbon just clean with carburetor cleaner

remove all the screws on the bottom of the glove box on the outside, then on the inside remove all the screws too. and then pull it out. sometimes some glove boxes have stoppers on the edge of the door inside and you have to pry on them to pull the stoppers in front of the side of the glove box so you can remove it entirely from the dash.
