The check engine light in my 1999 escort lx keeps coming on. A diagnostic test revealed that there was ' Transmission slipage ' or that the fluid may be low. The fluid is fine, and there is NO NOTICEABLE slipping. Every once in awhile, there is a slight hesitation, like when speeding back up after slowing down. It shifts through the gears just fine, only jerking slightly when the car is very hot. I am at a loss.... any advice?
This truck has yet another issue... I am at my wits end !! The service engine light just came back on and I had it checked on a diagnostic machine which told me I have " Random Cylinder Misfire " What is the main cause of that problem? I know it can be as simple as a bad plug or wire, or something as serious as a fuel injector, but how do I find out for sure?"
I cannot determine what the correct tire pressure is for this truck. The tires say one thing and the sticker on the door says another. According to the door, I should have 50 psi in the front and 80 psi in the back. Why would the amounts be different? I am a first time truck owner, so please forgive the ignorance. I just want to make sure my truck gets the best gas mileage I can get.
how do i activate the rear window defroster on this truck? I have no owners manual, so i am lost.
When our truck is started it acts like it floods itself and often dies immediately. After it dies one time, the truck then starts up just fine. What is the source of this issue? A new throttle posistioning sensor was installed recently, but the issue remains unsolved...please help !!
