Code 212 = Loss of IDM (Ignition Diagnostic Monitor) input to EEC or SPOUT circuit grounded.... 1. Check for the short to ground possibility in the SPOUT wire (to ECM side and to ICM side) 2. IDM wire from Ignition Control Module (ICM) to ECM integrity (open, short to ground or power). 3. Was ICM already replaced 4. If all the above checks OK......the ECM will be the one to blame.
Your battery light coming on while you are driving is an indicator that your alternator is going bad if not completely shot already. Dont just take my word for it though have your alternator tested to be sure.
I would first check to see if you have spark. Then check to see if you have fuel. If you have spark and fuel check your timing. It helps to narrow down the problem.
I have replaced coil pack, spark plugs, plug wires, crank position sensor, temperature sensor, mass air sensor, fuel pump, o2 sensors and fuel filter. While driving down the road the car will lose all power you can put your foot to the floor but it will not respond even if you down shift. Then just as suddenly as it lost power it will regain power and act like nothing is wrong. It is showing code p0322 which would suggest crank sensor but this is new less than 2 weeks old. Any legitimate ideas are welcome dont try to feed me a line of bull I do know my way around a garage I am just looking for fresh ideas.
