High Engine Idle Due to Damaged Intake Gasket on Ford Bronco

The upper intake manifold gasket may fail, causing an engine vacuum leak and a high idle condition. A damaged intake gasket should be replaced.

High idle. Ford dealer did a computer diagnostic pointing to a faulty intake manifold gasket. not repaired yet
89 bronco idling at between 1800-2000 rpms, upper intake manifold had 2" piece of gasket missing. Replaced gasket and now at first start up idles at between 1800-2000 till warm then idles at 600-700.
