Q:

Uneven tire wear due to factory lowering of car? on 2006 Mercedes-Benz CLK350

I have replaced my tires (full set) twice this year because I am told the factory lowering causes uneven tire wear. Life of tires has been about 15,000 miles and I am also told that is about as good as I can get no matter the quality of the tires. Also, can't rotate tires. Car is convertible with low-profile tires.

I would 1st have the alignment checked by a good shop. If the Camber is around -2.0 in the front and or rear, then yes you will have excessive wear. For the Front end, there is some adjust-ability to the camber. For the rear we may be able to source some adjustable camber bushings.
Let us know if we can help.
