Question: Unable to open trunk with key

Where is the trunk release located inside the 325I, 2001 so I can get into my trunk, key works for opening the car and closing, does not work for opening the trunk.

    Could you clarify this. When you insert the key into the lock cylinder on the trunk it won't open it, or when you press the trunk open button on the key it won't do it?

    The trunk open on the key is not working, is there a release button inside the car for the 325i BMW? Contacted the service department told there was a button next to the hood release, not there not on the 2001 325i.

    Can you post the last 7 digit of the VIN#?
    I don't have another 3 series in the shop from that year, but the switch is usually right above the hood release. If you post the VIN I can try to look a bit deeper.

    I will just use the key to open the trunk, the person at the BMW dealership could not find it either. Thank you for your help on this.
