see if you knocked the wires off the speed sensor on the rf axle. it is above where the axle goes into the transaxle.

the range sensor is mounted on the transaxle where the shifter cable attaches to the linkage. check the connector.

Customer Concern: Has a code P0501 for the Vehicle Speed Sensor (VSS). Does not have the Anti-Lock Brake System (ABS).

Tests/Procedures: 1. If the vehicle is not equipped with ABS brakes, the vehicle will use a wheel speed sensor at the passenger front wheel. Test the resistance on the sensor, 1200-1500 ohms is the specification.

Customer Concern: Has a check engine light on with a vehicle speed sensor code P0500. The speedometer works normally. Tests/Procedures: 1. Scope the right front wheel speed sensor signal while the wheel is spinning.
Tech Tips: The speedometer gets its vehicle speed signal from the vehicle speed sensor on top of the transmission and the Engine Control Module (ECM) gets its vehicle speed signal from the right front wheel speed sensor.
