1996 Toyota Camry

Question: Two different mechanics have said our oil leak is from two different places.

One said it is the oil pan gasket, one says it is the rear main seal. We have just replaced the valve cover gasket which was leaking. We also replaced the timing belt, water pump, tensioners, cam seals, oil pump seal, Etc. We don't know who to believe!

    have them put dye in the system that will identify the exact leak. get it in writing about the leak and if they are wrong, you get a refund or credit toward the correct repair.

    oh yes there is. we use it all the time to make sure we make the right call.

    The distributor oil seal O Ring also leaks on this engine.
