Car turns over fine but does not fire

    If it 's not trying to fire at all it very well could be a fuel related problem like the fuel pump itself. However there are other reasons that could cause it not to fire but you would be merely guessing unless you have the right diagnostic equipment. It's definitely best to get a professional diagnosis because if you just start replacing parts you could be in several hundred dollars before you find the problem.....IF.... you find the problem. In most cases (not all) you can pay for diagnosis (usually 1 to 2 hours labor) and accurately find the problem. Some shops will even credit that time/money toward the repair.

    Crankshaft sensor, I had the same problem a month ago. Changed the fuel pump, fuel filter, spark plugs and still had the problem. I turned out to be my crankshaft sensor, even made the car shut off some time.

    i need to known were the crankshaft sensor is located at.and how much they cost.
