turns over but wont start on 1997 Volkswagen Jetta

My 1997 Jetta GT 2.0 Gas would not start. Then started. Made it almost home and it started cutting out and died. Turns over but wont start. Fuel Pump was not working. Found out Fuel pump relay was bad. Installed new relay. Would not start. Check fuse for pump with test light. Had to install a fuse holder in slot. Fuel pump works now. Still wont start. Not getting fire to plugs. Checked with computer. Codes p1582,p1500,p1225,1226,1227,1288,1425,1472,and p0303. Help!

There is too much info here, and if I was working on this I would erase all the codes, try to start it and see what codes re-appear. Then follow the diagnostic troubleshooting for the codes. If you don't have the info, get it from on of these sites: http://bit.ly/mitchell_repair_manuals_online http://bit.ly/Bentley_Repair_Manuals

Could be your ignition coil.. i had the same problem. Also do a tune up (plugs, distributor rotor &cap, and wires) if possible
