turn signal will not turn off on 2002 Jeep Grand Cherokee

passenger side turn signal will not turn off & now the flashers will not work, Even with the ignition off it stays on I had to disconnect the battery to turn off the signal Is it electrical ????

There is a part called the combination flasher that controls the turn signals and the flashers, it is located in the junction box. Have this checked, it may very well be the cause.
