Pontiac Grand Am Abnormal Clicking Noise From Hazard/Turn Signal Flasher

The turn signal switch may fail causing the hazard/turn signal flasher to continue to click even when the turn signal switch is off. Replacing the faulty turn signal switch will commonly correct this condition.

My turn signal with just stop working and I have to turn on the hazards and then it will work again for a short time! -
I bought the vehicle used and have it for 6 years. The turn signal has been clicking for the last 5 years. When I took it in to get it checked, I was told that the dash would have to be taken out to repair switch. Sounded waay to expensive, so I turn up the radio until the clicking stops. -

Mine clicks all the time for years now. Have gotten used to it. Definitely don't want to fork over a big wad of cash to to fix their defect. -
Turn signal clicking noise will continue to click when turn signal or hazard lights are not engaged. There will be periods of time when everything works great, then randomly will have a period of time when the clicking noise is very frequent. Sometimes the clicking is more severe than other times. Sometimes my turn signal will not work at all when engaged. -

Gotta love the eratic clicking at random times. I have not tried replacing the switch yet. -
I'm having problems with the clicking noise, in my hazzards too it clicks like the blinker's are on when it's not and the noise get so severe to where it shuts my car off -
Diagnosed by GM dealer. Replaced turn signal switch in steering colleum -
This problem is usually caused by a bad flasher relay. One can be found online for less than $20. It can be replaced with no tools, just snap off the bezel around the radio, snap out the emergency flasher switch and replace it. If anyone charges you more than $50 to do this, you are being ripped off. -
Replaced hazard switch but still clicks once in a while -
I had this same problem. I took it to the dealership, they replaced it, and it continued. I'm thinking I might have to take it back over there and tell them what's going on. -

When you use your blinker and then blinker sounds turns off, it continues to click rapidly for a while. Is is in the shop right now getting diagnosed and fixed. -
HEAR CLICKING NOISE - SEEMS TO BE AT HAZARDS SWITCH- WILL TRY CLEANING CONTACTS IN MULTIFUNCTION SWITCH BEFORE PAYING FOR NEW SWITCH. -

Sometimes intermittent , sometimes incessant, clicking relay sound from hazard light button in dash. Replacing the button temporarily halted ticking of relay. Turn indicator module in steering column replacement resolved permanently. -
