Clicking Noise From Flasher When Turn Signals are Off on Chevrolet Silverado 1500

A clicking noise may be noted from the turn signal flasher after the turn signals are switched off.  This is commonly cause by a faulty turn signal switch which will require replacement.

"clicker" comes on by itself. stops if I depress the brake. Most annoying, turn up radio.

Turn signal clicking noise continues on its own without lights being activited.
problem just as turn signal switch installed,problem fixed. mechanic said if switch not replaced right away a fire could start in the steering colume.
The turn signal flasher sound continues to sound when turn signals not being used. I replaced the the turn signal switch which also controls the wipers, delayed wipers, cruise control and hazard flasher. The lowest price new item was found at A1 auto. It was around 78.00. All other sources ran 150-300 dollars. I installed myself with the help of the A1 Auto You Tube video. It took me around 1 hour..the replacement fixed the problem.
