Clicking Noise From Flasher When Turn Signals are Off on GMC Sierra 1500

A clicking noise may be noted from the turn signal flasher after the turn signals are switched off.  This is commonly cause by a faulty turn signal switch which will require replacement.

2004 GMC Sierra 1500 90,322 mi,
With ignition switch in the run position, either sitting still or moving makes no difference. does not do it continually but will sometimes last for over 15 min and then stops does return but not always. But the noise is always the same.
1999 GMC Sierra 1500 127,000 mi,
Randomly the turn signal clicking noise happens the lights dont blink
